PARKING DURING SNOW EVENT

Whenever two or more inches of snow falls, or when an appreciable amount of snow is predicted by radio, press or television, it shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle or to allow that motor vehicle to remain parked on the even-numbered side of the streets and rights-of-way during even-numbered years. Further, whenever two or more inches of snow falls or when an appreciable amount of snow is predicted by radio, press or television, it shall be unlawful to park a motor vehicle or to allow that motor vehicle to remain parked on the odd-numbered sides of the streets and rights-of-way during odd-numbered years. Notification of a snow event will be communicated via the Borough's Swift-Reach telephone callout system. The snow event shall remain in effect until the Public Service Supervisor of the Borough of Jim Thorpe shall declare the snow event ended, and that notification of the cancellation or termination of the snow event shall be made via the Borough's Swift-Reach telephone callout system.
