Water Shut-Off

 Enacted Ordinance 2020-09 - Utility Services Payment of Bills Amendment updated our procedures pertaining to how future payments will be applied to utility accounts. Beginning January 1, 2023, all utility account payments will be applied to the oldest amounts due, regardless of the category (water, sewer, garbage). This update to procedures will assist in keeping all utility categories current. 

The Borough opted to begin this new procedure in 2023 in order to provide residents a full two years to bring their past due utility accounts current.  All utility categories, including garbage, should be paid up to date and kept current.  This new system may cause service interruptions from failure to pay amounts due by the due date, including outstanding garbage amounts.
